Champagne Cartel Loves: Furry Sleeveless Vest Things

Champagne Cartel is loving black furry vests for Winter 2015, this one is Guess brand from Myer

Prior to heading out to Goondiwindi for the races – you can read about my Trip to the Races here – everyone was telling me it was going to be FREEEEZING at night in the country. So being an imbecile from the city, I rushed out to buy myself a suitable thing to wear in the evening with jeans. You know because of course I didn’t have a single thing that would suffice.

I went to Myer and found this from Guess. I freaken LOVE it. This particular garment is formally known as a gilet, I believe. I prefer to think of it as my favourite furry sleeveless vest thingy.

Of course I never got to wear it in Goondiwindi. It wasn’t freezing at night at all. It was completely mild. Pretty much the same weather we’ve been having here (Brisbane that is).

But I’m pleased to report I have had the opportunity to wear it and it’s as good as I thought it would be. Cosy. Furry. Comfy. And better still it sucks all the lard in as it is double lined, quilted pleather. And I just love a faux fur collar, makes one feel a bit glam.

I reckon it will be best styled with long sleeved (black or stripey) fitted tops and jeans. Although I definitely could put it over a black dress and boots. Or a mini, tights and ankle boots. So many options, so little time.

I couldn’t find the actual one I bought on the Myer website but I pulled together a few that you might like instead!
