Sexyinspiration: Lingerie you’ll love

Here at Champagne Cartel, we totally love Valentines Day. Not for the shit cards and ugly, metallic, heart-shaped balloons. It’s the sentiment we’re into. We are passionate about taking time out with your loved one, or yourself for that matter and showing how much you care. Carolyn wrote a most excellent post this week about the importance of prioritising your relationship 7 Healthy Habits of Parents Who Still Like Each Other.

Well today I’m all about Valentines and dressing for sex-cess (yes I went there). I’m talking lingerie, intimates, undies, foundation garments, underthings. Feeling remarkable and having fun wearing sexy knickers.

Lucky me, I have hooked up with the absolutely fabulous, stylist with the mostest and Champagne Woman, Jenni Sellan, in a little collab that we hope will inspire the crap out of you (definitely not literally). We want you to get excited, be impulsive, rip it off, rip it on and get it on. Let your hair down. Oooh, yeah baby. Hot just like an oven.

An important thing to remember about sexy underwear is that you CAN wear it. No matter what shape you are, it’s all about confidence. You are beautiful. You ARE!!!!

It may be a step outside your comfort zone but why not buy some sexy gear and then just wear it like you’ve got it, even if you feel a bit weird. Believe how awesome you are, sell the sizzle, channel your inner supermodel! Your significant other, randy lover, or your reflection will be enamoured.

And here is our Champagne Cartel top tip: If you want something not too revealing but still want to put a little ‘sexy’ on, wear baby doll style (shown below). It’s a fabulous look and one that suits most body shapes.

There are a few places you can shop outside the majors that are great for sexy gear:

  1. For the skinnier minnies – Gooseberry Intimates have some gorgeous pieces
  2. If you’re a curvier gal, Big Girls Don’t Cry have a great selection. (I’m a 14 E and I have bought some beautiful items in-store in Brisbane and online)
  3. And for those wanting to try out something a little more risque, you cannot go past Agent Provocateur. Complete with whips and paddles! And amazing perfumes too.

  • Hello Wonderful Cartel Ladies. When I first glanced at your article while waiting for the jug to boil, I thought great idea but thought there would be nothing to fit me in this. However was fantastically proved wrong. With a bust size 18 H and a muffin top, I usually struggle to find anything remotely sexy. Encouraged by the pictures in your article I started to search the next and have found some amazing lingerie. So now have to face the bigger issue of confidence to be sexy. Maybe that could be your next article in the valentines series?

    • Jenny!!!! That is so fantastic, I am thrilled that you were able to find something that suits. It makes me so happy to hear your comment, honestly. And I can relate to how you feel, I have lost a little weight recently but I was a 16F/G and understand the challenges of finding anything nice. Re the confidence piece, what a great idea!I will definitely put that on the list as a post to write, I was researching some articles about it while writing this article actually. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

  • Great selection! I haven’t been lingerie shopping in years. I only just threw out my maternity bras and I stopped breastfeeding long ago. Time to hit the shops.
