We recently got together with the dynamo that is Nikki Parkinson from Styling You to invite 90 gorgeous women to come and play with us at the inaugural Style + Champagne Event.
We hoped the the day would be fun. We hoped it would be a great way for our attendees to get together with their girlfriends for some great style and makeup tips, along with simple life hacks. And we hoped for a gorgeous high tea and buckets of chamapgne.
The day was all that and a whole lot more!
The day has been a long time coming for Nikki, Gillian and me. We came up with this idea last winter over a few glasses of champagne, and we’ve been working away in the background to make it happen ever since.
We also wanted to support our favourite charities Mummy’s Wish and Dress for Success. And thanks to some amazing generosity from local businesses (you can check them all out on our Style + Champagne Facebook page), and to those who attended, we managed to raise $3000!
A big fat thanks to our event partners Surafina and FRANKiE4 Footwear, and to MooGoo and Ruby Olive for supplying gifts for our guests.
And thanks to Darling & Co for being a spectacular venue for the occasion.
And an enormous thanks to photographer Helen Henry (Rhubarb Photography) who not only took beautiful photographs, but put everyone at ease and made us all feel comfortable in front of the camera.
We LOVED holding this event, and the enthusiasm of all that came along. And we know a lot of you wanted to come but couldn’t get tickets, so we’re in talks now about the next one. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted.
