This week we had the honour of hosting another Broads & Bubbles event with our event partner Rydges South Bank.
WOW! What a night.
We had a truly inspiring panel of women who shared their stories of battling life’s most challenging adversity. They told us of their heartache and grief, survival and growth. These women have all dealt with things that most of us can’t begin to imagine.

Suzi O’Shea of Parenting for Trashbags spoke of her battles with depression and anxiety and the moment when she realised she had to refocus her live to ‘be herself’ and how she dragged herself out of the darkest of places.

Robyna from Mummy and the Minx shared how her world crashed when she lost her baby Xavier to SIDS and how she has emerged from this life-altering experience “softer, yet stronger”, which we think is the most incredible phrase.

Best selling author, Rebecca Sparrow, told us about how she was somehow able to survive following the stillbirth of her daughter Georgie in 2010, and her path to post-traumatic growth in the years since.
All of us in the crowd were captivated (at one point Carolyn and I forgot to ask our question as we were so drawn-in) and felt so much respect and admiration for these three incredible women. The love in the room was palpable.

Our events are getting bigger, better and more wonderful every time and we couldn’t be happier. For us to be able to bring smart, sassy women together in a room to talk about topics that matter, is the best feeling in the world. Thank you to everyone who came along and made the champagne and good vibes flow.
We are planning more events next year and will be kicking off with a bigass celebration of the joyousness of womanhood with an International Womens Day party in 2018. If you haven’t already, sign up to our mailing list so you can be in the know on what’s coming up, when.
